Kensington Malmo Rectangular Set 6 Armchairs & 2 Recliners– Granite Colour (Please note that the main image shows 8 recliners, but you will receive 2 reclining chairs and 6 armchairs)
This superior wicker outdoor dining set is maintenance free and incredibly comfortable as the cushions are included. This rattan set consists of 6 stacking dining chairs, 2 reclining chairs and a rectangular 2 x 1m table. The chairs are delivered assembled.
We use 8mm double half moon rattan weave because:
aesthetics – the thick weave gives a solid classic look
more substantial furniture – it takes much more raw material to make this product as the 8mm rattan fibre is thicker than standard flat rattan fibre
strength – it takes much longer to weave double half moon rattan but the end product is heavier and lasts longer
better cushions – high grade cushion material/foam is specified to complement the 8mm rattan
cleaning – see caring for your set
Also known as resin weave or woven wicker, rattan outdoor furniture is basically extruded polypropylene fibre, woven onto a metal frame. Polypropylene was first used in the 1980s in the garden furniture industry to manufacture stacking resin chairs, loungers and garden tables.
Virgin Aluminium – our superior rattan patio furniture has aluminium frames to ensure the strongest welding. The extruded polypropylene is woven to the powder coated aluminium frame, unlike some manufacturers who use a less expensive steel frame which is prone to rusting.
Grade A Polypropylene – we use only grade A round polypropylene weave to ensure over 20 years of outside use. Tested to +40°c and -40°c, our polypropylene is frost proof and will not rot.
Finished Feet – all the legs on our rattan garden furniture have a finishing aluminium cap which eliminates unravelling and minimizes wear.
Nylon Feet – to stop chipping and marking.
Packaging – all of our rattan garden furniture is mail order packaged to eliminate carrier damage.
Start by using a soft brush all over the surfaces to loosen and remove caked-on grime, such as mud or moss. This will get deep into the strands of the rattan, but don't be too aggressive or you risk damaging the finish. Then use the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner all over the surface of the item to suck up any loosened dirt and dust.
Next, add a small amount of ordinary washing-up liquid to a large bucket of warm water – don't use cleaners containing bleach or scouring agents as these can lead to tiny cracks in the plastic threads of the furniture, which will attract dirt.
Using a soft sponge or cloth, wipe all over the furniture surfaces with this detergent solution, paying attention to really grubby areas. Leave it to soak for a minute or two, then rinse the entire item with cold water, using a gentle spray setting on your garden hose. Don't use any type of pressure-washer as these can damage the finish of your furniture.
Once thoroughly rinsed, leave to dry naturally in the sun.
